About this opportunity
The United States Coast Guard Aviation Logistics Center Medium Range Recovery Procurement Division has published a Special Notice announcing its intent to award a sole source Basic Ordering Agreement call to Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation for Panel Assembly components. The procurement involves 8 units of Panel ASSY (NSN 1560-01-HS1-6158, Part Number 70500-82402-076) specifically designed for MH-60T helicopters. This acquisition falls under NAICS code 336413 (Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing) with a size standard of 1,250 employees and uses Product Service Code 1560 for airframe structural components. The procurement is unrestricted with no small business set-aside, as the small business set-aside has been dissolved. Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation has been identified as the Original Equipment Manufacturer and sole source provider under existing Basic Ordering Agreement SPE4A1-22-G-0005.
The Special Notice serves as both a notification of sole source intent and an opportunity for other responsible sources to demonstrate their capability to provide these specialized aircraft components. The procurement is justified by Sikorsky's exclusive ownership of the technical data, specifications, and drawings required for manufacturing these complex panel assemblies, which are needed for replacement during routine maintenance due to failures, corrosion, and damage. Interested contractors may submit quotations to the specified Coast Guard email addresses with the solicitation number 70Z03825QJ0000280 in the subject line by 2:00 PM EDT on May 22, 2025. Delivery is requested within 200 days after receipt of order, with early shipments encouraged at no additional cost to the government, and F.O.B. point designated as Origin. The government retains full discretion to determine whether to proceed with competitive procurement based on any responses received, with final award dependent on determination of fair and reasonable pricing.
