About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking a contractor for repair and modification of naval devices, with a specific focus on asset repair and turnaround services. The solicitation involves machinery and equipment maintenance, targeting contractors capable of efficiently processing and returning naval assets within strict performance parameters. The contract requires a repair turnaround time (RTAT) of 110 days after asset receipt, with contractors obligated to accurately report transactions within five business days of physical asset receipt. The solicitation was posted on January 2, 2025, with proposals due by February 3, 2025, and includes comprehensive quality requirements and inspection standards. Evaluation will likely focus on the contractor's ability to meet precise turnaround times, reporting accuracy, and compliance with specified technical and logistical requirements.
The procurement is not designated with a specific set-aside and covers the NAICS category of Miscellaneous General Purpose Machinery Manufacturing. The contract allows for a monthly throughput of approximately 6 assets, with an induction expiration date of 365 days after contract award. Contractors must provide a throughput constraint for each National Stock Number (NSN) and understand that failure to meet the negotiated repair turnaround time may result in financial considerations and potential contract modifications. While specific award values are not disclosed, the solicitation indicates that prices have been negotiated based on meeting RTAT requirements. The place of performance will be the contractor's facility, with assets physically received and processed according to the Commercial Asset Visibility (CAV) system guidelines, emphasizing precision and accountability in naval equipment repair and modification services.
