PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY AS IT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY NOTICE THAT WILL BE PUBLISHED. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a one-time, sole source, fixed price contract with AutoClear LLC, 2 Gardner Road, Fairfield, NJ, 07004-2206 for the purpose of procuring a service agreement for its existing AutoClear X-Ray equipment.
The FBI has a requirement to acquire corrective and preventative maintenance services for its existing AutoClear X-Ray equipment used to screen items and packages brought into the FBI space. This service includes the following:
• Prompt On-Site Coverage (response time of not more than 36 hours)
• 24 x 7 help-desk support
• Annual preventative maintenance
• Calibration of all X-Ray machines
• Factory-recommended parts
• AutoClear proprietary software updates
• Proprietary factory recommended upgrades and service notes
• Escalation to factory for expertise and replacement instrument
Based on market research, and Government end-users, it has been determined that AutoClear is the sole manufacture and supplier of the FBI's existing AutoClear X-ray equipment and its replacement and new parts used in maintaining and servicing the X-Rays. If maintenance is performed or replacement parts installed by a 3rd party, they are not guaranteed by AutoClear and will void and existing warranty and could compromise the total performance of the system.
