About this opportunity
This solicitation requests trash collection, disposal, and recycling services for the National Institute of Standards and Technology campus in Boulder, Colorado. Services include weekly pickup from various bins and dumpsters across campus, with pricing required for monthly and on-demand dumpster rentals. The base period of performance is July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022 with four optional one-year extensions. Quotes are due by April 5, 2021 and award will be made based on best overall value. The contractor must meet all local, state, and federal regulations for waste handling and disposal.
The solicitation is a 100% HUBZone set-aside targeting service within a two-hour window on weekdays excluding federal holidays. As the incumbent contractor's performance period expires June 30, 2021, this represents an opportunity for a HUBZone small business to provide ongoing waste management for the campus for at least one year, and potentially up to five years total if all options are exercised.
