About this opportunity

Naval Supply Systems Command is preparing to procure aircraft parts and auxiliary equipment and anticipates solicitation release by August 28, 2026. Government source approval is required prior to contract award because the item is flight critical and technical data is insufficient to support full and open competition; only previously approved sources have been solicited.

Contractors not currently approved as sources must submit source approval documentation with their proposal, including information from the applicable NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Source Approval Information Brochure for either spares or repair. Bidders must either provide technical data demonstrating company experience in producing the same or similar item, or document previous submission of all required source approval data to NAVSUP WSS. Offers that fail to provide complete source approval documentation or do not reference prior submission of required data will be deemed ineligible for award under this solicitation.

NAVSUP WSS notes that if source approval evaluation cannot be completed in time to meet Government fleet support timelines, award may proceed based on approved sources regardless of pending approvals for new vendors. The NAVSUP WSS Commercial Item Identification Brochure is available on the NAVSUP WSS Business Opportunities website. No set-aside applies to this procurement.
