Update #1 ·
The U.S. Coast Guard SFLC, Small Boat Product Line has a requirement for the supply of OEM parts with ancillary remanufacturing of Detroit Diesel/MTU 60 Series marine engines and 5114 Twin Disc Marine Reduction Gears, as a single unit, currently used on the 45' Response Boat Medium (RB-M). The original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for this requirement is MTU America. All parts shall be new. It is intended to award up to three (3) multiple award Requirements- type contracts for one (1) base year and two (2) option years. Delivery will be made to the U.S. Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Center, Building 88, 2401 Hawkins Point Road; Baltimore, Md. 21226-5000. It is the Government's belief that MTU America, Inc. for the 60 series marine engines and Twin Disc, Inc. for the 5114 Twin Disc Marine Reduction Gears, have a limited pool of vendors with the capabilities to refurbish Detroit Diesel/MTU 60 Series marine engines and 5114 Twin Disc Marine Reduction Gears, as a single unit using OEM parts. Industry was given the opportunity to submit their capabilities in the Sought Sources Notice published on FedBizOpps on October 1, 2019. Solicitation number 70Z04019Q56700B00 and all related specifications are anticipated to be released on May 31, 2019. The due date for the receipt of proposals shall be June 5, 2019 at 2:30PM EST. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Agency. For information, contact the officials listed herein..
