About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime (DLA Land Warren) is preparing to procure a specific torque motor with National Stock Number 6105-01-521-7887, part number DB-9000-B-IESC, through a pre-solicitation notice. This procurement is exclusively restricted to MOOG, Inc. (CAGE 99932) as the approved source, with only MOOG and its authorized distributors permitted to submit offers. Interested vendors must "FOLLOW" the notice and add their company information to the Interested Vendors List. Potential bidders are required to be certified under the United States/Canada Joint Certification Program (JCP) to access the Technical Data Package (TDP), which will be available in the Contract Opportunities section of SAM.gov. The solicitation is expected to be posted on SAM.gov with a response deadline of June 9, 2025, and will potentially include a reverse auction as a pricing technique.
The contract is set aside for total small business participation and involves procuring 6 units of the torque motor with an option for up to 6 additional units. The procurement will be a firm-fixed-price contract with FOB point at destination and MIL B packaging specifications. Technical data and top drawings are source-controlled to MOOG, Inc., which significantly limits competitive bidding. Vendors interested in future opportunities to become an approved source are advised to contact the Competition Advocate's office. The solicitation will require vendors to be registered in the reverse auction system and complete online training if a reverse auction is conducted. Potential contractors can seek additional government contracting assistance through APEX Accelerator resources in Michigan or nationally.
