About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure a modulator for radar equipment and related replacement parts under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Section 6, indicating a single-source negotiation procurement. The primary contract requirement involves the manufacture or repair of National Stock Number (NSN) 7H-1285-015873838-VN to Technical Data Package (TDP) Version 008, which requires specialized test and inspection facilities to maintain ultra-precision quality standards necessary for system integrity. Contractors must demonstrate possession of or access to advanced testing and inspection capabilities that comply with military and federal specifications and standards, as substantiation of precision and quality cannot be accomplished through standard means. The evaluation criteria will assess whether proposed solutions meet the stringent precision requirements and quality standards outlined in the technical documentation, with Authorized Routed Manufacturing Codes (A/RMCs) 3, 4, or 5 being acceptable for this work. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on January 30, 2026, with a due date of March 16, 2026, providing interested parties approximately six weeks to prepare their responses and gather required specifications from the DoD Single Stock Point.
This procurement carries no set-aside designation and specifies a requirement for 6 units with delivery on a Free-on-Board (FOB) Origin basis. No potential incumbents or current contractors are identified in the notice. The notice does not disclose a specific award value or budget range for this contract action. Contractors seeking to understand the technical requirements and obtain necessary military specifications, federal standards, and other reference documents should access ASSIST-Online at http://quicksearch.dla.mil/ or contact the DoD Single Stock Point directly at 215-697-2667 or 215-697-2179. The specialized nature of this procurement and the single-source negotiation authority suggest that the government has identified specific technical capabilities or qualifications that are critical to successful contract performance.
