About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 9 units of electrical meter assemblies under NSN 7H-6625-013170951, classified under the Electrical and Electronic Properties Measuring and Testing Instruments category. This procurement follows a sole source approach under FAR 6.302-1 authority, as the government does not own the data rights necessary to purchase or contract repairs from additional sources and has determined it uneconomical to acquire such rights or reverse engineer the component. Interested parties have until September 15, 2025, to submit capability statements, proposals, or quotations, with the notice posted on September 3, 2025. The procurement requires FOB origin delivery terms and references technical data package version 004.
This opportunity does not utilize any set-aside designations and is open to all qualified contractors. The specific quantities involved are 9 units of the electrical meter assembly, with delivery required FOB origin as specified in the technical requirements. No incumbent contractors or potential award values are disclosed in the pre-solicitation notice. The government has provided extensive guidance for accessing military specifications and standards through the DoD Single Stock Point and ASSIST-Online resources, though proprietary technical documentation such as patterns and drawings are not available through these channels. Interested parties have a 45-day window from the notice date to respond, though this may be reduced to 30 days if the award is issued under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement.
