The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a sole-source, firm-fixed price contract for maintenance and repair services under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1 to Tecan US, Inc., 4022 Stirrup Creek Drive, Suite 310, Durham, NC 27703. There are twenty (20) Tecan robotic workstations that are currently being used by the FBI's Laboratory Division. The FBI requires two (2) preventive maintenance visits per year, and unlimited support and emergency repair service. Tecan U.S. is the only authorized vendor capable of providing hardware, firmware and software updates, preventative maintenance and repair of the Freedom EVO 150, Freedom EVO 200, TeMo, and Infinite F500 Basic workstations. The maintenance agreement will be for a base year and four (4) one-year options. In order not to void the existing warranty, all repair work must be done by Tecan US, Inc.
