Notice text

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price purchase order to LabLogic Systems, Inc.

In accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, the Contractor is the only known responsible source who can provide the services for the requirement as described below.

The purpose of this notice is to inform the public that the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Office of Research Services, Division of Radiation Safety (DRS) intends to purchase a  LabLogic AH-20XX-09 600SLe liquid scintillation counter (LSC) with MikroWin software to quantify the radioactivity of low energy radioisotopes, mostly beta-emitting and alpha-emitting isotopes.  NIH uses radionuclides that can only be detected through wipe testing and analysis on an LSC.  Currently the DRS’ analytical lab analyzes about 90,000 samples a year and requires a new LSC with a high-capacity capability to augment the current LSCs in the lab.

This notice is not a request for competitive quotes.  However, any party that believes it can satisfy the requirement as stated herein may submit a written capability statement that supports its capability to provide the equipment described above.

It is anticipated that an award will be issued within seven (7) days after the date of this notice unless the Government determines that another organization has the capability to meet this requirement.

Please email responses to zetherine.gore@nih.gov no later than 12:00 p.m. EST on Monday, September 11, 2023.  Emails received in response to this notice must reference SS-NIH-6734202 on the subject line.
