Amendment 0002 to Solicitation N66001-16-T-6104, effective 6/20/2016.
Amendment 0002 is as follows:
1. Incorporate the following questions and answers:
QUESTION # 1:
I didn't see a particular manufacturer listed on the posting and wanted to see
if you were
looking for a particular brand. I am currently working with getting a quote
drawn on up
and am excited to fulfill the needs for this opportunity.
- Suggested manufacturer are MSI, HP, or Dell
QUESTION # 2:
Hi Cynthia again, if I can rephrase my question of earlier we like to know
better how
many total slots and total drives you need in the systems. The way it is
written we
understand you need to have to have (5) slots with total capacity up to 3TB. 5
slots will
be very hard for any system to accommodate.
- Per our specification, there are minimum of two SATA 6 slots for 2.5 SSD
required.
There is minimum of one of M.2 SATA interface (for M.2 SSD). There is minimum
of one
PCIe for SSD (can be substituted with M.2 SATA)
QUESTION #3:
Hi Cynthia, can we have the specification in a different format (like Word or
PDF). So
each line item is separated from the next one. The way they are listed on the
site make it
easy to get the different lines items mixed up.
- See attached PDF file
QUESTION #4:
IMPRES Technology Solutions, Inc. is very interested in submitting a bid for
solicitation
N66001-16-T-6104. I was wondering if you could provide any insight as to who
the
preferred manufacturer may be for this solicitation. We have been researching
these
requirements with Dell, HP, & NCS and they are all unable to provide a fully
compliant
solution as they no longer offer the blu-ray drives to be manufactured as
integrated parts
of the system.
- See ANS #1 above
Will the end user possibly accept an external blu-ray optical drive if the
price was low
enough?
- No, it must be integrated in the laptop
QUESTION #5:
I'm writing to inquire if there is a specific brand name for the specifications
listed in the
solicitation no. N66001-16-T-6104. Or we can select any brand name matching
with the
whole specs.
- See ANS #1 above
QUESTION #6:
When I tried to do the configuration on the Dell Federal Page. Dell lets you
know that
you cannot have two 2.5" SSD in one configuration. Please have the engineer
check how
he really wants this configured.
- Dell M7000 series has one 2.5 hard disk drive slot, but the other one can be
substituted
with one M.2
- Or try MSI
2. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
