About this opportunity
Paragraph 1:
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Office of Acquisition Services is seeking to procure a Kin-Tek FlexMixer dilution system with optional MFC and fittings, as well as a FlexStream permeation oven. This is a sole source acquisition, as the Kin-Tek instrumentation is a direct replacement for the agency's existing equipment that has reached the end of its useful lifespan. The procurement is being conducted under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), as the CDC has determined that no other supplier can provide the required accuracy, usability, and integration with the agency's existing test systems and procedures. Interested vendors are encouraged to submit a written capabilities statement to the Contracting Officer, Maria Shamburger, by August 19, 2024.
Paragraph 2:
This procurement is not set aside for any specific business category. The current incumbent is Kin-Tek Analytical, Inc., the proposed vendor for this acquisition. No specific award value or budget range is provided. The notice indicates that a contract will be issued to Kin-Tek Analytical, Inc. without further competition if no other qualified sources are identified within the 7-day response period.
