Notice text
The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has a continuing requirement for Interaction Optimizer software and maintenance manufactured by Interactive Intelligence Inc.
The USPTO intends to negotiate and award a sole source firm fixed price contract for Interactive Intelligence, Inc. software license and maintenance, NAICS code 511210, to Systems Integration, Inc. for a period of September 10, 2015 through September 9, 2016, with an estimated value of $177,512.60. The anticipated award date is September 9, 2015.
USPTO's Project Control Branch (PCC) infrastructure utilizes Interactive Intelligence, Inc.'s proprietary Customer Interaction Center (CIC) software. This purchase is for software licenses and annual maintenance of the software. Under the annual maintenance plan, the USPTO has access to service updates and upgrades of the Interactive Software. The USPTO is also entitled to bug fixes and feature packs that corrects or enhances one or more existing features of the software.
Systems Integration, Inc. is the only authorized and certified reseller that can provide the required licenses and maintenance since they are original reseller. The manufacturer requires all resellers to be trained and certified on their software. Additionally all new software licensing must be sold through a single reseller of record as the ongoing license maintenance and support needs to be provided through a single source. As a result of USPTO's exemption from the Competition in Contracting Act, the subject requirement is being procured using the Alternative Competition Method in accordance with the Patent and Trademark Office Acquisition Guidelines (PTAG) and the Patent and Trademark Office Efficiency Act, 35 U.S.C. 2(b)(4)(A).
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
