About this opportunity
The Department of the Army's Portfolio Acquisition Executive Fires and Capability Program Executive Defensive Fires are conducting an Industry Day on June 23, 2026, to present the Low-Cost Interceptor program and preview associated component competitions. The event runs from 0800 to 1300 Eastern Daylight Time at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City, 2799 Richmond Hwy, Arlington, Virginia.
The LCI program seeks to develop low-cost supplemental capability for Integrated Fires Air and Missile Defense operations against air-breathing threats, cruise missiles, close-range ballistic missiles, and short-range ballistic missiles. The Government is identifying existing capability for All-Up Rounds and low-cost components including seekers, solid rocket motors, and fire control systems, as well as Weapon System Integrators employing a Modular Open Systems Approach.
The target audience includes prime contractors, subcontractors, and joint venture offerors with technical capabilities, facilities, and personnel to develop and deliver low-cost interceptor capability and components. Participation in this Industry Day is not a prerequisite for future LCI, PAE Fires, or Army FUZE/X-Tech procurement opportunities. All attendance costs are borne by the respondent. The agenda covers strategic and operational needs, component competition overview, FUZE/X-Tech program briefing, government reference architecture, and acquisition contract strategy.
