About this opportunity

The Department of the Army Materiel Command Army Contracting Command Aberdeen Proving Ground is conducting market research for a Hyperspectral Imaging (HSI) capability through the C5ISR Center RTI Directorate. The agency is seeking sensor solutions for integration onto Unmanned Aircraft Vehicle (UAV) and satellite platforms, specifically targeting Visible to Short-Wave Infrared (Vis-SWIR) and Long-Wave Infrared (LWIR) spectral wavebands. Potential sources will be evaluated based on critical performance metrics including size, weight, and power (SWAP), sensor performance characteristics such as quantum efficiency and resolution, system maturity, stabilization, and integration considerations. Interested parties are invited to submit responses via email to hanh.t.dinh.civ@army.mil by May 28, 2025. The market research is classified under NAICS Code 541715 for Research and Development in Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences, and participants should note that this is a voluntary information-gathering process with no current solicitation or contract award.

This pre-solicitation notice does not indicate any specific set-aside designations, and no incumbent contractors are mentioned in the documentation. The estimated period of performance remains to be determined, and no specific award value or budget range is currently disclosed. The opportunity is categorized under Product Service Code AC12 for National Defense R&D Services, with performance location also currently marked as TBD. Additional technical details up to Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) level, including technical specifications, operational altitudes, and sensor performance metrics, are available upon request for verified potential sources. The government emphasizes that this market survey is purely informational and does not constitute a formal request for proposals, and telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged.
