About this file

This Sources Sought synopsis is issued by the C5ISR Center RTI Directorate to conduct market research for a Hyperspectral Imaging (HSI) capability. The government is seeking sensor solutions for integration onto Unmanned Aircraft Vehicle (UAV) and satellite platforms, focusing on Visible to Short-Wave Infrared (Vis-SWIR) and Long-Wave Infrared (LWIR) spectral wavebands. Potential sources will be evaluated based on size, weight, and power (SWAP), sensor performance metrics including quantum efficiency and resolution, system maturity, stabilization, and integration considerations.

The contract opportunity is associated with the Department of Army, with a NAICS code of 541715 for Research and Development in Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences. Interested parties are invited to submit responses via email to hanh.t.dinh.civ@army.mil by a to-be-determined date. Additional details up to Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) level on technical specifications, operational altitudes, and sensor performance metrics are available upon request. The document emphasizes that this is a market research effort, and there is no current solicitation or contract award, with submission being purely voluntary.

Purpose and Objectives

Seeking information on Hyperspectral Imaging (HSI) sensor solutions for integration onto common Unmanned Aircraft Vehicle (UAV) and satellite platforms. HSI spectral wavebands of interest include the Visible to Short-Wave Infrared (Vis-SWIR) band and Long-Wave Infrared (LWIR) band.

Sources received will be evaluated based on size, weight and power (SWAP), sensor performance metrics including quantum efficiency and resolution, system maturity, stabilization, and integration considerations.

Additional details, up to Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) level, on technical specifications, operational altitudes, and sensor performance metrics are available upon request.

Potential sources will have access to controlled requirements should they be verified to access.

Estimate Period of Performance: TBD
