About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 4 units of a specific printed circuit holder with National Stock Number 7H-5998-014723275-GL, identified under Technical Data Package (TDP) Version 006. The procurement will be delivered FOB Origin, with a notable constraint that the government does not currently own the data rights necessary to contract repair of this part from alternative sources. The agency has determined it would be uneconomically feasible to purchase data rights or attempt to reverse engineer the part. Interested parties must meet specific qualification requirements at the time of award, in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. Potential vendors have 15 days from the pre-solicitation notice (posted December 18, 2024) to identify their capability to satisfy the government's requirement with a commercial item, with a final response deadline of March 21, 2025.

This pre-solicitation does not involve a specific set-aside designation and is categorized under Product Service Code 5998-P for Electrical and Electronic Assemblies, Boards, Cards, and Associated Hardware. Vendors seeking additional technical documentation can access materials through the DoD Single Stock Point at Document Automation and Production Service in Philadelphia, with multiple access methods including online ASSIST-Quick Search, direct website ordering, or traditional mail/phone request methods. Detailed solicitation information, including specific qualification requirements, will be identified in subsequent solicitation documents. Potential vendors can obtain further information by contacting the specified documentation services or the contracting office directly. The procurement approach indicates the government is not utilizing FAR Part 12 policies for commercial item acquisition in this specific procurement.
