Notice text
The project consists of repairing the upper and lower guidewall cribbing at four (4) of the Corps' lock dams (5, 6, 8, & 9). The work consists of stabilizing the pile foundation with low density cellular concrete. The guidewalls are founded on timber piles and a rock filled crib. Voids have been created in the rock filled crib due to rock wash out and settlement. The contractor shall provide all plant labor and material to complete the contract requirements. This contract involves placing and sealing concrete forms along the guidewall foundations and placing low density cellular concrete to fill the voids in the rock filled crib as well as spaces between the existing crib rock. This work will be accomplished during the non-navigation seasons between 2017-2018 & 2018-2019, which generally runs from early December to mid March. The project magnitude in terms of estimated price is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 for each lock. The solicitation is being issued with a 100% small business set-aside. The NAICS code for the proposed project is 237990 with a small business size standard of $36.5 million.
