About this opportunity

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration Shared Services Center has issued a Special Notice for a sole source requirement of a GNSS-Inertial instrument (AVX-210) unit. This instrument is needed to support the implementation of a fast-response, high-frequency in-situ winds measurement system on a B-200 aircraft operated by Dynamic Aviation.

The purpose of this Special Notice is to determine if there are any other qualified sources capable of providing the required GNSS-Inertial instrument. The due date for interested organizations to submit their capabilities and qualifications is August 14, 2024. NASA plans to acquire the commercial item using FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13 procedures, and the performance location will be at the NASA Langley Research Center. The government will evaluate the submissions to determine if the procurement should be competed or if APPLANIX CORP, the identified sole source provider, will be awarded a contract for the GNSS-Inertial instrument.
