Notice text
This is a notice of intent, not a request for a quotation. A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested.
The National Institute of Health, Clinical Center (CC) intends to award a Fixed Price Purchase Order to Terumo BCT, Inc., Lakewood, CO 80215 on a sole source basis to procure preventive maintenance services in regards to seven (7) COBE 2991, three (3) Elutra and three (3) Spectra cell processors/separators located at the National Institutes of Health's Clinical Center, Department of Transfusion Medicine.
Terumo BCT, Inc is the manufacturer of the equipment as well as the Elutra items that will be used in the equipment. These cell processors/separators are used in the process of separating various blood/blood components (mononuclear cells) for research and research collections with patients undergoing protocols in support of high quality care. The monocytes, type of cells, can be withdrawn and made into dendritic cells or lymphocytes to be later infused into the patient. If NIH is unable to procure this preventive maintenance for its existing protocols, the Cell Processing Section would not be able to manufacture the blood products required for cancer vaccine patients.

Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting.
