About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command is procuring comprehensive demolition services for six buildings and facilities located at Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida. The contractor will be responsible for all professional services, permits, equipment, labor, tools, materials, and ancillary items required to complete the site-specific demolition work as defined in the Statement of Work. The contractor must adhere to an extensive set of regulatory guidance including Unified Facilities Criteria, Army Corps of Engineers standards, building codes, Air Force standards, DOD directives, Florida state regulations, OSHA requirements, EPA regulations, and ADA compliance requirements, with the most stringent standards applying in cases of conflict. The contract will be awarded based on a Request for Proposal format, and contractors must demonstrate their capability to manage complex demolition operations while maintaining strict regulatory compliance. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on March 17, 2026, with responses due by March 30, 2026, providing prospective contractors with a two-week window to prepare their initial submissions and inquiries.

This contract opportunity is designated as a set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, limiting competition to firms meeting this specific ownership and size criteria. The work is classified under NAICS code 238910 (Site Preparation Contractors) and PSC code P400 (Salvage-Demolition of Buildings), indicating the specialized nature of the required services. No incumbent contractor, current award value, or specific project budget has been disclosed in this pre-solicitation notice, which is typical for notices at this early stage of the procurement process. The absence of numerical budget details in this announcement suggests that detailed cost and scope information will be provided in the formal RFP documents to follow. Interested service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses should begin preparing their qualifications and capabilities documentation in preparation for the anticipated solicitation release.
