About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime is procuring FME (Flight Maintenance Equipment) coveralls manufactured to specific military specifications through a simplified acquisition solicitation (SPMYM225Q2287). The coveralls must be one-piece medium green garments constructed from a 65% polyester and 35% cotton blend, featuring specific design elements including a full collar, single left chest pocket, Velcro fasteners, and elastic foot stirrup, with sizes ranging from Medium to XXX-Large. Contractors must complete pricing for each contract line item, provide their CAGE code, submit all required representations and certifications, include manufacturer information, maintain current SAM.gov registration, and comply with NIST SP 800-171 cybersecurity standards unless the items qualify as Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS). The procurement follows commercial and simplified acquisition procedures under FAR Parts 12 and 13.5, with evaluation based on compliance with technical specifications and delivery requirements. All questions must be submitted via email to naomi.larson@dla.mil, and offers are due by 10:00 AM on July 23, 2025, with an anticipated contract award date of July 22, 2025.
This opportunity is designated as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS code 315990 (Apparel Accessories and Other Apparel Manufacturing) and Product Service Code 8415 (Clothing, Special Purpose). The solicitation specifies Silver Needle as the required manufacturer for the coveralls, which suggests a brand name or salient characteristics requirement. The contract calls for 2,000 total coveralls distributed across three line items: 600 XXX-Large, 600 Large, and 1,800 XX-Large units, all packaged in 15-unit cases and requiring preshrunk, double-seamed construction. The delivery date is scheduled for October 27, 2025, with FOB destination delivery to the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard Receiving Officer at Building 514 D1, 1400 Farragut Avenue, Bremerton, Washington 98314-5001. The resultant award will be a firm fixed-price supply contract, though specific dollar values are not disclosed in the solicitation materials.
