About this file
This document is a detailed military specification for FME (Flame Resistant Environmental) Coveralls, providing comprehensive manufacturing requirements for a one-piece uniform. The specification defines precise technical parameters including a medium green color, material composition of 65% polyester and 35% cotton, weight range of 5.5 to 8 ounces, and specific sizing dimensions across five sizes (Med to XXX-LRG). Key design features include a full collar, single left chest pocket, Velcro fasteners for various sealing points, an elastic foot stirrup, and double-finished seams. The specification mandates preshrinking, requires manufacturer labeling, and stipulates strict workmanship standards ensuring coveralls are free of loose materials or visible imperfections. Contractors must submit a compliance certificate with each shipment, specifically addressing the preshrinking requirement.
