INTRODUCTION:
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting proposals and subsequently awarding a single, Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) contract using FAR 15 selection procedures for the Construction for a New Parking Garage project at the Omaha VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Medical Center.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
This project will construct a new parking structure on the Omaha VAMC Campus to accommodate approximately 375 vehicles. It will utilize existing green space between the current surface parking lot and the front entrance. The multi-level structure will be approximately 150,000 SF and will include the necessary vertical transportation
ADMINISTRATIVE:
The solicitation will be issued as a Request For Proposal (RFP) conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 15, 19, and 36 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Proposals received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable NAICS code is 236220 with a size standard of $36.5 Million. The solicitation will be issued on or about August 2019. The period of performance is approximately 540 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The Magnitude of Construction is expected to be between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000.
