About this opportunity
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking an integrated enterprise-wide asset lifecycle management system called the CBP Asset Management System (CAMS) through this Request for Information. The system will replace 13 existing disparate asset management systems and provide comprehensive tracking, accountability, and management capabilities for CBP's extensive asset portfolio. Key requirements include a Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) solution with open architecture principles, mobile device functionality, integration with existing systems like SAP and TRIRIGA, and compliance with federal security standards including FedRAMP and Zero Trust. The solution must support six operational scenarios encompassing procurement, maintenance, reporting, compliance, financial management, and mission execution. Questions were due August 11, 2025, with RFI responses due September 2, 2025, submitted via email to the designated contracting officer.
This opportunity has no set-aside designation and no incumbent contractors are identified in the documentation. The system will manage CBP's portfolio of approximately 1,014,904 assets valued at over $8 billion, including aircraft, vehicles, watercraft, equipment, and technology assets. The solution must accommodate 8,000-10,000 users with varying levels of system access, from infrequent inventory tasks to daily administrative functions. CBP anticipates a phased implementation approach over multiple years, with data migration and integration of existing systems occurring throughout the deployment timeline. The agency may request no-cost technical demonstrations from potential vendors and specifically encourages responses from organizations of all sizes, requesting that vendors indicate their organizational size status in their submissions.
