The San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC) Cardiovascular Procedures Services have a requirement for Biosense Webster catheters which are compatible with the CARTO3 System and Software currently owned by BAMC, Cardiovascular Procedures Service, at San Antonio Military Medical Center Main Cardiovascular Department (on JBSA - Fort Sam Houston)
1) Organization name, address, e-mail address, Web site address, telephone number, and size (small versus large business, and any other socio-economic categories) and type of ownership for the organization;
2) Tailored capability statements addressing the salient characteristics listed, with appropriate documentation supporting capability.
a. The catheters must interface directly with the existing Biosense Webster CARTO3
System
b. The catheters must allow the operator to perform fast anatomical mapping (FAM) and
allow for instantaneous catheter localization with accuracy of +/- 1mm. All catheters
manufactured by Biosense Webster are proprietarily manufactured for compatibility and
use with the CARTO3 System for diagnostic, ultrasound, and therapeutic purposes.
c. The catheters must be sensor based and allow for fast anatomical map development with
map activation and voltage data collection.
d. These catheters are regular expendable proprietary items which are fundamentally
designed to interface via direct connection with the Biosense Webster CARTO3 System
Patient Interface Unit (PIU).
e. The inherent design of the Multi electrode mapping catheters must be linked to CARTO
MEM proprietary software of the CARTO3 system, which allows for the simultaneous
acquisition of up to 20 highly accurate activation points (point-to-point map) for
maximized speed, accuracy and efficiency in mapping complex atrial and ventricular
circuits.
f. The Soundstar ultrasound catheters must provide the ability to visualize and mark cardiac
anatomy through the CARTO3 System and afford the ability to visualize the tip of the
ablation catheter via the ultrasound image using the tip to tissue overlay feature.
g. The ablation catheters must be capable of a direct interface with the CARTO SmartTouch
Catheter ablation System and able to receive continuous peristaltic pumping heparinized irrigation solution, and variable power delivery in conjunction with this proprietary system.
h. The SmartTouch Catheters must provide force contact parameters and visitag integration
with the CARTO3 System reflecting real time force contact information and ablation characteristics
that better inform the physician's ablation strategy and delivery of lesion set which are
designed for use with the CARTO3 System and SmartAblate Generator System.
THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this notice is purely voluntary; the Government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred.
