The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) herein issues solicitation 15BFA022B00000018 for the award of a firm-fixed-price construction contract for a project entitled BOILER REPLACEMENT at the Federal Correctional Complex (FCC) Florence, located in Florence, Colorado.
FCC FLORENCE is a federally owned facility located at 5880 State Highway 67 South, Florence, CO 81226. The project consists of the following:
- The removal and replacement of three (3) high temperature hot water heating boilers. Boilers shall be water tube design with dual fuel (natural gas and No. 2 fuel oil) fired burner with flue gas recirculation (FGR).
- Removal and replacement including all associated piping and systems mounted on or around the boiler.
- The existing burner management system, boiler controls and instrumentation shall be replaced with new modern and energy efficient electronic based controls. The new controls will interface with the existing Building Management (BMS) system.

Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project lies between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. (NOTE: This range is one of eight available ranges from FAR 36.204 and is not meant to imply that the project has necessarily been estimated/budgeted to the maximum of the selected range. It merely conveys that the estimate/budget lies somewhere within that range.)
