Update #2 ·
The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Engineering Research and Development Center - Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (ERDC-CERL) in Champaign, IL has a requirement to determine the best method to integrate Building Information Modeling (BIM), and Civil Information Modeling (CIM) data into BUILDER.
Market research has found that the University of Washington has the unique combination of qualifications to accomplish this work. UofW's campus adoption of BUILDER plus their academic research and development in the areas of facility data interoperability, and their familiarity with Army Design Standards and US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) BIM requirements provides UofW with the sole qualifications to complete this work in the timeframe allowed.
ERDC-CERL intends to award a purchase order on a sole source basis to the University of Washington in accordance with FAR 13.106(b)(1).
The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541712 which has a size standard of 500. This is not a small business set aside.
