About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is preparing to solicit a contract for 30 National Stock Numbers (NSNs) related to the H-1 platform, with Bell (CAGE 97499) identified as the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). The solicitation will be a firm fixed purchase with delivery FOB: Origin and inspection occurring at origin. Potential contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and may need to submit a Source Approval Request (SAR) through DoDSafe link if they are not an approved source. The final contract award will likely be based on a combination of price, past performance, and other evaluation factors. Key dates include a solicitation issue date of March 6, 2025, with an anticipated award date around July 31, 2025, and a response deadline of March 5, 2025.
There is no specific set-aside designation for this opportunity, and the government is open to responses from the OEM, surplus dealers, and other potential sources. While no specific award value is mentioned, the contract involves 30 NSNs for aircraft parts in the hardware and weapon system category (NAICS 336413). Interested non-OEM sources are encouraged to notify the Contracting Officer before the synopsis closing date and provide evidence of their ability to supply the items. The government retains flexibility in its acquisition strategy, potentially considering existing surplus or newly manufactured inventory if it represents the best interest of the government. Surplus dealers must include a completed surplus certificate or traceability documentation to demonstrate product acceptability.
