Update #10 · Latest ·

This contract action was not awarded as a fixed price type because uncertainties involved in contract performance did not permit costs to be estimated with sufficient accuracy to use any type of fixed price contract. As such, a cost-reimbursement type action was awarded (FAR 16.301-2).

NOTE: This contract action was awarded as a hybrid firm-fixed-price (FFP) and cost-plus-fixed-fee (CPFF) contract.

The source selection was conducted as a competitive 8(a) set-aside in accordance with FAR 19.808-2 and FAR 15.3, as supplemented by DFARS 215.3 and AFARS 5315.3. A Best Value Trade-off methodology was utilized which allows trade-off between non-price factors and price. The award was executed on 14 February 2014 to Chenega Total Asset Protection, LLC for a total estimated contract value of $70.3M.

This effort primarily supports USASMDC/ARSTRAT in Shariki, Japan and potential second site.
