About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Air Systems Command Naval Air Warfare Center is conducting market research for ASIST (Aircraft Ship Integrated Secure) spares through this Request for Information, which is not a solicitation for proposals. The Navy seeks to establish a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) with subsequent Delivery Orders for Installation and Checkout (INCO) spares supporting the Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) Air Capable Ships Recovery Program. Contractors must provide all components, assemblies, system integrations, system-level testing, and delivery of recovery systems and equipment based on Government Furnished Information engineering drawings and Bill of Materials. The government intends to use sole-source procurement authority under 10 USC 2304 (c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, though they encourage responses from responsible sources that could influence a decision to conduct competitive procurement instead. Responses must be submitted within 10 days of the September 25, 2025 publication date, making the deadline October 3, 2025, and should reference N68335-25-RFI-0495.

This opportunity does not utilize any set-aside designations and no incumbent contractors are identified in the notice. No award values, budget ranges, or specific quantities are disclosed in this market research phase. The procurement structure involves an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with individual delivery orders to be issued as needed. The work falls under NAICS code 336413 for Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing and PSC code 1710 for Aircraft Landing Equipment. The government emphasizes that this RFI does not obligate them to pay for any information received and reserves full discretion in determining whether to proceed with competitive or sole-source procurement. All information provided is subject to change and does not bind the government to any future solicitation or contract award.
