About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center is seeking to procure two Engine Static Rig Testers for the KC-135 aircraft through the 76 AMXG. The procurement specifically requires Stator Actuator Carts (model 856A1084G02) that must meet stringent dimensional requirements of no larger than 20in x 12in x 11in, weigh no more than 20 pounds when dry, and maintain compatibility with multiple CFM56 engine variants including the 2A, 2B, 2C, 3, 5A, 5B, and 5C models. Each unit must include a replaceable filter with 10 microns minimum filtration capability and hold at least 1.5 gallons of 1010 oil with no external components extending beyond the maximum dimensions except for hoses. This competitive requirement operates under NAICS code 336415 with a size standard of 1500 employees, and contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award. The solicitation notice was posted on May 27, 2025, with responses due by June 11, 2025, though no quotes will be accepted until the formal Request for Quote is issued.
This opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, restricting participation to qualifying small business entities. The Air Force anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price contract with an estimated performance period of 90 days after receipt of award. The procurement falls under PSC category 1680 for Miscellaneous Aircraft Accessories and Components, and the NAICS classification is 336412 for Aircraft Engine and Engine Parts Manufacturing. No incumbent contractors or current service providers are identified in the pre-solicitation notice, and no specific budget ranges or award values have been disclosed at this stage. The government has provided an additional item description document dated May 27, 2025, which likely contains more detailed technical specifications for the required equipment.
