About this opportunity

The Naval Supply Systems Command seeks one custom-built, marine-grade 3-phase step-down isolation transformer rated 27 kVA or higher, with proposals due September 17 at 1:00 PM Pacific Time. The procurement is set aside 100% for Women-Owned Small Businesses, and questions close September 16.

Place of performance and delivery is Monterey, California. The transformer must step down 480 VAC 3-phase 50A input (with accommodation for 440 and 460 VAC) to 115 VAC 3-phase 30A output, with approximately 3% impedance and full compliance with MIL-T-15108C. The unit must include EMI shielding, embalmed copper windings, three MS bulkhead connectors (two for 3-phase 30A DELTA outputs and one for 1-phase 30A DELTA output), each fused at 30A, plus a 2-foot braid backup connection to ship ground. Mechanical specifications require NEMA 4 marine-grade enclosure, casters, lifting eyes, reinforced underside for crane or forklift handling, and deck mounting capability for a 2-foot-by-2-foot pattern with 1-inch-8 bolts. Thermal ratings are 50°C ambient, 115°C temperature rise, and 200°C insulation rating. Quoters must provide complete technical documentation demonstrating MIL-T-15108C compliance, electrical and grounding details, mechanical configuration, dimensions, and weight; incomplete submissions will be deemed technically unacceptable. Delivery is required within 8 months of award, by May 31, 2027. Award will be made on a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable basis to a responsible quoter. The contract is firm fixed-price with Net 30-day payment via Electronic Funds Transfer through iRAPT. NAICS code is 335311; size standard is 800 employees.
