The person applying pesticides is required to have a commercial applicator certification in their name for applicable categories. If the general contractor subcontracts pesticide applications, the individual from the subcontractor who does the application is required to hold an applicable certification in their name and the General Contractor would not need to be certified.

All wells will have the surface protection removed and the 2-inch PVC casing cut down to accommodate a new flush mount surface completion complete with a 3ft x 3ft 4-inch thick pad with rebar reinforcing installed. See enclosed manhole specifications.
The final height of the monitoring well casing (if altered) must be surveyed by a licensed surveyor for the new elevation taken on the north side of the 2-inch PVC casing. The new ground elevation for the concrete pad must also be surveyed. The survey must be accurate to 1/100th of a ft. tied to mean sea level. The amount of well adjustment will be determined by the final grade at the well locations. If wells need to be raised, no glues can be applied to the well casing. Extreme care must be taken in adjusting the wells.
If any wells are damaged, contaminated, or made unusable, they will require proper abandonment, replacement, and sampling by the contractor. Some of the monitoring wells have dedicated pumps installed. These will be removed and stored by the OHARNG.
A 48 hour notice will be required to achieve this task prior to any well work. All work will be inspected by a representative of the OHARNG. The enclosed table provides current ground, top of PVC casing, and height of protective structure elevations.

1. On drawing ES101, all of the scales for the 3 views are NTS. I couldn’t find a drawing that I could go off of for scaling purposes. Is there any way that they can provide scaling for these? We are dealing with 10,000 feet of overhead transmission lines that could get ugly and someone will get this wrong.
2. I’ve included 3 pictures, I want to confirm that we are only providing (1) 3” conduit from the MV switch to the power pole. Picture 1 and 2 shows (1) 3”C, but picture 3 mentions (2) 4”C in the detail. Do they want (1) 3”C? Do they want (1) 3”C and (1) 3”C spare? Do they want (2) 4”C?
Picture 1
Picture 2
Picture 3
3. Drawing E603, picture #4, the grounding for all of the 50kVA transformers mention #2 grounding, however on drawing E510, detail 2, picture #5, shows #4/0 grounding. Which is correct?
4. Drawing E510, detail 2, is a transformer “pad” grounding detail, (Picture 5), mentions 15’ of slack is to be left in
“vault”. Do they want a transformer pad? Or a transformer vault?
Picture 4
Picture 5
5. Drawing ES102, Building “E” Enclosure Latrine, keyed note 5 refers to drawings E110, 120, 130, 140, 150, 160, none of these drawings are for the Enclosure Latrine. Are there any power requirements for this enclosure? Drawing E603, 1-line drawing does not show a feed for this. Please confirm that this is not required.
6. Drawing T110, mentions “continuation on T100”, there isn’t a drawing T100. Also, General Notes on T110 refer you to T001 through T602, however these are not included in the plan set. Please Advise.

Mowing Requirements
Civil 012200 Environmental Procedures
330.244.1440 330.244.1445 X 7-09-2020
With regards to Specification 012200 Environmental Procedures, Environmental Work Plan:
Is the General Contractor responsible for regular mowing during the growing season?
Is the General Contractor responsible for mowing the entire 200 acre work limits to maintain less than 10" tall?
Is the General Contractor responsible for mowing the ROCA only?
With regards to Specification 329200 Turf and Grasses. Do these mowing and maintenance requirements apply only to new plantings or existing areas as well?
Regarding Section 012200 ENV Procedures and specifically sub-section 10.2 Mowing, it is not the intent of this section to require mowing of the entire 200 acre area. The requirement is to not disturb or kill birds during nesting season. Keeping grass mowed short all year prevents nesting and avoids killing. The need for mowing will depend upon timing of construction activity. The expectation is to mow or clear grass and brush only at locations where construction is taking place (access lanes, target berms, ROCA facilities, etc.) and to keep the vegetation short if construction will continue into nesting season. Currently the OHARNG mows the road sides and target berms without restriction and the 200 acre expanse area once a year after nest season. The OHARNG will coordinate with the contractor to gain access for our mowers so we can mow grass in the expanse area outside of construction locations after nesting season. The OHARNG will not mow construction locations. The contractor is responsible to keep grass low where they are working during nesting season.
329200 turf and grass requirements only apply to new plantings in areas disturbed by construction.
