Vendor Q&A Updated 13 January 2022
New as of 13 January 2022:
Question: Section 3.3, the additional pests clause. It says in there that before service was performed a plan and price would have to be submitted and approved. This means on a per termite service basis correct? Like anytime termite activity was found, it would need a new treatment plan and price?
Answer: Any services not included in the monthly line item will be provided through the Additional pest control line item which requires the contractor to provide a fully burdened maximum hourly rate on the bid schedule. This rate will be used when providing additional services. When providing additional services in accordance with section 3.3 the contractor shall provide a written description of procedures and products to be used; and a proposed cost; both of which must be approved by the COR before service is rendered for every occurrence. The maximum yearly amount for additional Pest control is $10,000.
Question: Is it possible to schedule a site visit?

Vendors who are interested in this solicitation and would like to inspect the site prior to submitting an offer but are unable to attend this scheduled visit should notify CERL-CT-QUOTES@usace.army.mil by 29 December 2021 and we will attempt to accommodate an alternative option. It if noted that attendance at a site visit is NOT mandatory in order to provide an offer.
Question: Does this facility consist of classrooms/offices that need to be sprayed or which type of area within the building will need to be treated?
Answer: Offerors who attend a site visit will get a tour of the facility that will show the types of areas that will be covered under this contract. Areas include but are not limited to Offices, hallways, stairwells, conference rooms, kitchenettes, bathrooms, etc.
Question: If there are any pests or rodents caught on traps after the spray and we need to come back out for retreatment this does apply to every service and not just the initial service?
Answer: Any captures shall be removed by the Contractor the same day as the catch. See section 3.1.
Question: For the 72 hour call back would this pricing be added into the additional services amount for our bid since it may not be every month or would it still get grouped in with monthly services?
Answer: Any call backs from section 3.1 shall be included in the monthly costs.
Question: I’m a little confused by the square footage document. The entire square footage of every area that needs to be treated is 200,766 sqft? what do the percentages mean?
Answer: The percentages are what percentage of the total 200,766 that particular building is. Example: Bldg 0 accounts for 9.05% of the total 200,766 sqft.
