AMENDMENT 0001

QUESTION #1

The specifications call for repairs to be performed from elevation 312’ and above. When we visited the site on 7- 15, the water was at an elevation of 315’. Will the contractor be required to lower the water level to 312’ or below, or can this be achieved by the contracting authority?

GOVERNMENT RESPONSE:

Water levels are currently at El. 307.86', and is anticipated to stay below El. 312' for the duration of the work.

Storm events may cause the water level to temporarily rise above El. 312', but the contractor will not be responsible for lowering the water level.

QUESTION #2

Is there a power source at the dam that the contractor can tap in to in order to power motors for swing stage scaffolding?

GOVERNMENT RESPONSE:

No

QUESTION #3

Is the area in the immediate vicinity of the inlet wall (i.e. the terrace area) able to withstand the loading from a jobsite trailer, pump trucks, dumpsters, etc?

GOVERNMENT RESPONSE:

Yes. Any vehicles, trailers, etc. that are not required immediately adjacent to the wall will be stored on the upper portion of the terrace (approximately 60ft from the wall) to minimize loading on the wall.

QUESTION #4

Can the crew park their vehicles in the immediate vicinity of the inlet wall (i.e. the terrace area)?

GOVERNMENT RESPONSE:

Yes. Parking will be in the upper portion of the terrace (approximately 60ft from the wall) to minimize loading on the wall.
