Specification section 10 22 19, 2.5 states the "moveable wall system must be designed to integrate with a companion furniture product line form the same manufacturer." Will a DIRTT system, which is compatible with many furniture systems and finishes can be easily matched to the existing system, but would not be of the same manufacturer, be acceptable for this project?

Multiple manufactures may be accepted as long as they meet the requirements of specification section 10 22 19 Demountable Movable Partitions.

Leave existing flooring under the 6 seats to be removed.

Drawing AD-101 shows demountable partitions at rooms 126, 130, 131, & 132 to be removed. Is it the governments’ intent to reuse these partitions to make the new rooms 126, 130, 131, 132, 137, 138 & 139 as shown on A101?

Provide new demountable partitions as indicated.

All new security system components will be obtained on a separate contract and will not be the responsibility of the prime contractor on this requirement.

18 Jul 2018 18 Jul 2018 20 Jul 2018 See answer below 21 Jul 2018 On drawing A-141, the general notes refer to using carpet with no glue and a “tab lock” system. Spec 09 68 00/para 3.4.1 talks about modular tile with releasable adhesive over raised flooring. Please advise which method is to be included?

Carpet tiles to be placed as indicated on drawing A-141.

The insulated glass that is specified is based on a VIRACON spec. The makeup is a problem for the larger windows on the job Type "B" frames that are 7'4" x 6' and also the type "A" frames that are 5'4" x 5'4". It exceeds Viracon's capacity for 1/4" laminated glass on the inboard lite.

The size requires Viracon to jump the unit up to a 1 5/16 overall thickness in staying with a 1/2" airspace. Units can get down to 1 1/16" on the "A" frames by using a 3/8" spacer and 3/16" glass on the outboard lite (which doesn't meet specification) but they cannot exceed 35 sq ft on the 3/8" spacer so the type "B" frame become a problem to try an meet the Viracon spec. The problem is that Viracon's VUE 50 that is specified is a product that is only made by Viracon, it has a distinct color and distinct performance qualities that will not be able to be matched, and when applied to Bronze glass as in the spec, it will

Interior windows are type A only with ¼” tempered glass per drawing A-601.

again create a unique color. Please confirm if the use of a PPG product can be submitted as a Solarban 60 or 70 on Bronze glass as an equal? If not, please provide alternative?

18 Jul 2018 18 Jul 2018 20 Jul 2018 See answer below 21 Jul 2018 In the window line that is being specified, Kawneer 8225-T series for instance, the largest window they will make that is 60w x 90H, the type "B" frame is 7'4" on the width, the supplier will not make this window due to this. Please confirm if a substitute of 2 x 4 1/2 storefront window will be acceptable in lieu of the 8225-T series for those 3 windows?

Interior windows are type A only with ¼” tempered glass per drawing A-601.

17 Jul 2018 17 Jul 2018 20 Jul 2018 See answer below 21 Jul 2018 A 9AM bid opening is a real issue as HVAC and Electrical numbers usually do not get vendor numbers until mid-morning as they are not released prior to that time. Would the Guard consider an afternoon bid opening?

The bid opening is re-scheduled to 2:00PM EST/EDT. Date is unchanged.

17 Jul 2018 17 Jul 2018 20 Jul 2018 See answer below 21 Jul 2018 How do we get on base to submit our bid? I assume we need to utilize base access form however that was on valid for July 11th. Can another access form be applied for the 25th?

An updated copy of the request is attached to the FBO posting.

20 Jul 2018 20 Jul 2018 23 Jul 2018 See answer below 23 Jul 2018 Section 00010 – Solicitation Contract Form shows two line items. Item 0001 appears to be the base bid cost for the project. Item number 0002 shows a line for net amount but directs us to go to a web site and fill in contractor labor hours. This appears to be a post award requirement.

Is your expectation pricing for Line Item 0001 only? With subcontractor bids coming in just a few minutes before the bid time it would be difficult to achieve this.

CLIN 0002 is Contractor Manpower Reporting Application (CMRA) and is a post award requirement for the prime contractor to complete beginning 1 Oct of the fiscal year in which work is performed. This requirement can be considered not separately priced if included under administrative costs.

Page 5 of 75, Section 00010 Notes #4(a) directs:” Offer, Standard Form (SF) 1442 front & back signed.” I believe the only Offerer block available for Offerer to sign is Block 20B, and it is only one signature and on Page 2 ( or the back). Please advise if there is a block for Offerer signature on Page 1 (front).

There is no offeror signature on page one of SF1442.
