Roller Gate & Lifting Beams
W912P9-18-Q-0012
Amendment 0003
1.) The purpose for this amendment is to Change the following:
Spec changes: 05.59.13
Paragraph 2.1.24 was added based on a question from a potential bidder.
Response Date remains the Same.
QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS:
1.) Regarding the bronze roller bushing Mark: M-503-4, what exactly is the PT Woven Pipe Fabric Liner? How is it contained within/attached to the Bronze C86300 bushing? Is there a company source the engineer had in mind for these?
Answer: SEE SPEC Change.
2.) Section 1.4.3 of the specification says that the fabricator shall be certified under the AISC Bridge fabricator program in the Advanced bridge category. Our firm meets the work experience and is certified in the bridge program as a “Major” / Intermediate category with our fracture critical endorsement. Please confirm that still being recognized under the “Major” category would qualify us to bid the fabrication.
Answer: Per the Specifications, the contractor must have either 1) ABR certification with a Fracture Critical Endorsement or 2) HYD certification per the AISC quality certification program.
3.) With the time required to provide pricing for this bid along with the volatility in the steel market, would a one week extension be allowed.
Answer: No.
