RFI #3, Received Monday, November 09, 2015 4:50 PM.

Question 1: I am inquiring about item 9: “Replace the 12” diameter Schedule 80 split steel pipe fendering that protects the joints between the side plating and the bottom plate, and between the side plating and the underside of the rake (refer to Drawing Detail S).” Can you tell me if the 12” pipe wall is a .500 or .688?

Answer 1: This question points out that there is a difference between Extra Strong (0.500” wall thickness) and Schedule 80 (0.688” wall thickness) for 12” Nominal Pipe Size. The record drawings show

Extra Strong for the original pipe fendering. The language of Item 5 and Item 9 requires the new 12” pipe fendering to be Schedule 80 (0.688” wall).
