Text version
Would the hinges be at the bottom and the doors fold down or would the hinges be at the top and the door fold up? The hinges need to be at the top so the door can fold up. This will avoid a door accidently dropping and hitting a soldier in the head if they are trying to secure their gear below.
On the mesh you specified, is it a requirement that it be a specific type of mesh? Would diamond perforated plate also work? Yes, It is needed so that air can get through to where items will be able to avoid mold, mildew, etc.
What are the overall inside dimensions required on each locker? The inside dimension for each locker needs to be 16” H x 47” W
What is the tube size you are figuring for the outside frame? (this will affect overall size of entire unit) 2 Guage Base, 6 guage sides, with top.
Is there an overall weight limit for the entire assembly when empty? No
Does the unit need the option to bolt down to the floor? This option is not required
How thick is the mesh required on the lockers? What size openings do you want in the mesh?
There is no requirement on this. As long as the mesh is close enough together so items cannot be pulled from the lockers and thick enough that it can not be broken into without considerable effort.
Does each individual locker have a solid plate floor with an open mesh top? Or does the floor of the locker above become the top of the locker below? The floor of locker above becomes the top of the locker below.
Are you looking for Steel or Aluminum? Steel
We also won’t be able to accommodate the 2 gauge as it will be too thick to fit in our slots. We would be able to do a 4 gauge, is this ok? For the weight requirements and the items that will be stored, 2 Guage is required.
Since the drawing leaves a lot of information to the imagination. Do you have a set of detailed drawings for this project, or are we to submit our ideas? Please see attached “Locker Pictures”.
Do you have a drawing of the lock mechanism you want to design into each locker? The locking mechanism should be able to accommodate a single padlock or combination lock.
I believe I have the #2 question asked from my previous email, was the color to use is Gray? Yes
