Questions & Answers added questions 7,8, and 9

3. The solicitation says the monitoring service must be connected with TMD’s social media platforms(tmd.texas.gov). Our solution can monitor social media platforms (Twitter and Facebook pages for example), share to Twitter directly, and post an RSS feed. The RSS feed would then need another program that TMD must provide, such as IFTTT or Zapier, to post information to social media. Will this suffice?

We want the ability to post to social media from the SaaS – Software as a Service.

Software will need access to have access to social media accounts influencers & trends.

4. Does TMD now use a media monitoring service? If so, which company/vendor provides the service?

No.

5. If TMD now uses a media monitoring service, what is the flat-rate annual cost TMD pays for the service?

NA

6. How many user licenses are required for TMD’s media monitoring service?

5-10

7. What are the types of offline data, the formats, the systems they reside in, access controls and more details in general?

--The software/program needs to be able to provide/monitor both old and new media (print, broadcast, social media, blogs, etc) using the "keywords" and analyze/break down the content to show trends, tone, sentiment, influence, etc. The program needs to be able to build customizable charts/graphs based on the entire data and user selected data.

--All content extracted by program will be from public and unclassified mediums.

8. Sources: news and social media monitoring (12 months available)

Do you need the system to maintain the 12 months going forward or do you require 12 month historical access from the initial data of using the system, for example if you started today, would you want access to July 2015 articles?)

--Any previous access would be an attractive feature and would need to be available if requested.

Though the program must maintain at least 12 months of historical access from the time the service is started.

9. Finally, is acceptable to connect to another system such as PRWEB for distribution and searching of journalists? This would be a separate system and cost if so.

--As long as the organization has a distribution service for the issuing of press releases and the searching/targeting of reporters, it can be a separate system.

--The press release software/program must allow the organization to send unlimited press releases and allow us to access/send releases nationwide with access to a read rate. It also must allow us to target/distribute by market (DMA), beat/area of interest (military, energy efficiency, engineering, etc.), role, social echo, as well as search writers based on the content of their writing.
