STATEMENT OF WORK

PAINT Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) The contractor shall provide all tools, hard materials, parts, facilities, and labor required to media blast, sand, scuff, mask, prime and paint equipment listed. The 175th WG will provide the paint. The 175th WG Logistics Readiness Squadron Transportation Section will provide transportation to and from the contractors’ facility as necessary per the schedule to be agreed upon at the time of contract award. All equipment will be thoroughly degreased prior to painting as necessary by the contractor. All equipment will be either media blasted, sanded or scuffed and then masked, primed, and painted as required per Air Force Technical Order 35-1-3. All inside doors, control panels (that are readily accessible) wheel rims, hubs, and axles will be de-greased and either media blasted, sanded, or scuffed as necessary, and then masked, primed and painted per Air Force T.O. 35-1-3 as well. Data plates are to be masked off by contractor prior to painting or removed by 175th WG Aerospace Ground Equipment employees only. Removed data plates will be placed in a forms bag which will remain with the equipment at all times. Equipment will be re-painted in accordance with Air Force Technical Orders 35-1-3, 1-1-8, and 1-1-691 (provided). All coating systems must conform to the requirements as established by the Air Force Qualified Product Listing (QPL) and will be provided by the 175th WG Structural Repair Shop. Once each shipment is completed, the contractor will notify the 175th AGE Shop. Quality Verification Inspection of the equipment will be conducted on the first of each equipment type at the vendors’ facility, prior to its return to Warfield, ANGB.

The contractor will be provided with a Performance Work Statement (PWS) that will state standards and basic requirements. The contractor will be required to submit a Quality Control Plan (QCP) detailing how they propose to meet the requirement described by the PWS and applicable Technical Orders. The QCP will be evaluated along with the per schedule item price.

1. Removal of corrosion requiring more than normal surface preparation shall be on an as-needed basis and shall only be accomplished after coordination with the Contracting Officer.

2. The contractor shall comply with all state and federal safety and environmental regulations in the painting and disposition of excess products.

3. The contractor will comply with all Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) recommendations.

4. All work for each shipment must be completed and picked up within two (2) weeks (14 calendar days), or as otherwise agreed upon, from the date the equipment is dropped off.

5. An AF1297 Temporary Issue Receipt will accompany each shipment of equipment for tracking purposes. The contractor will be required to inspect the equipment prior to receipt and annotate on the AF1297 any obvious dents or other damages as noted by both parties prior to accepting the shipment. The same inspection will be required upon completion of the paint process, prior to each shipment of equipment being loaded for transportation back to Warfield ANGB.

6. The 175th AGE Shop will provide familiarization training to appointed contractor personnel for the operation of all equipment, as deemed necessary, for the safe and thorough performance of this contract prior to contract execution of such equipment. Arrangements can be made to provide this training at either Warfield ANGB or at the contracted facility.
