• In drawing FP102 detail 2, it shows the install of a new “Fire Sprinkler Riser”. Drawing A1.1, “Demolition Floor Plan”, does not show any demolition of the existing concrete slab for the installation of the new “Fire Sprinkler Riser”. Past experience has shown that a section of the concrete floor would need to be saw cut and removed in order to install the “Fire Sprinkler Riser”. Could the Government please approve the saw cut and removal of the section of existing concrete slab in the mechanical room that’s needed for the installation of the new “Fire Sprinkler Riser”? Approved to saw cut and re-pour concrete floor If required to install the new riser

• Please clarify that all rooms including exterior perimeter offices get new flooring, wall paint and ceiling modifications, i.e. the entire building basically. All interior spaces will require new finishes see page A10.1

• Please clarify bathroom toilet and urinal partitions, we don’t see a specification for that material. Attached is specification section 15238.100 102113.19 Plastic Toilet Compartments

• Please clarify Sheet A3.1 general note D points to the new sink and counter, but refers you to the reflected ceiling plan? Callout for new sink does not reference new sink and counter see details at bottom of page A3.1.

• Please clarify Sheet A6.2 general note 1 states to match existing ceiling tile and grid, Sheet A10.1 states to use a 2x4 lay in tile,,, specification match sheet A10.1? Sheet A10.1 is correct, reference Finish Schedule on Sheet A10.1 for ceiling finish by room. All ceilings called out with acoustic tiles will be replaced with 2x4 grid and use USG RADAR #2310.

• Request substitution for ceiling tiles, see attached data sheets. Request denied, Use USG; RADAR #2310 acoustic panels

• Sheet A10.1 finish schedule calls out in room 101 “EX” no note tells me what that is. EX is the abbreviation for Existing (was not noted on the sheet or abbreviation section)

• Sheet A10.1 finish schedule calls for “SC” sealed concrete, no spec exists are we to re-seal those rooms? Will require clear coat sealant if not sealed. See flooring section of project manual Sec 090161

• As stated in the scope of work 2.2.2 pg.4, “a portion of the sidewalk and parking lot will be removed…the parking lot and sidewalk will be patched back.” Will the Government be providing specs for divisions 32 and 33? Reference Drawing C1.0 Key Notes and reference project manual section 033000

During the preconstruction meeting a staging area will be agreed upon by the contractor and the government. Staging area will be in the exterior parking lot within the immediate vicinity of the building. All materials and equipment being returned to the government will be brought to the staging area and will be inventoried by both the government and the contractor.

• Drawing M5.0 notes 1 & 2 show that the expansion tanks are placed on housekeeping pads. Will the Government please update drawings and specs to show size, location and details for the expansion tank housekeeping pads? Reference drawing M4.1 for location, drawing M5.0 for detail and drawing P8.0 for sizing and tank schedule.
