The following questions and answers are provided for informational purposes only:

Question 1: In line 1c - requiring compressed air line - what is the purpose of this and where should this line be located?

Answer: This is not required. Please see revised Description of Requirement (DOR) Document.

Question 2: Line: 1e - allows for centrifuge speed to be at a min range of 6000 rmp - at this range fines from the centrifuge will contaminate the extracted binder is this acceptable?

Answer: Speed of 6,000 to 8,000 rpm will be considered acceptable as long as the vendor confirms their equipment satisfies all requirements of ASTM D8159.

Question 3: Line 1j - does the integrated balance need to be built into the machine - we can provide a balance which can be placed on a stable surface next to the unit - will this be acceptable. A balance integrated directly into the machine is not possible due to the level of vibration coming off the high speed centrifuge built into the machine as well as constant cooling and heating processes during the extraction negatively affect any built-in balance.

Answer: Balance can be integrated or external. Either will be considered acceptable.
