Questions and Answers Set 6 1.At the walk it was mentioned that between fixtures there was to be EMT conduit, same as currently installed at each building. The whip down to the fixture could be MC cable.

In the response to Set 5 it sounds like we can run to a box in EMT and then connect up to 4 fixtures together with MC cable, end to end.

I always understood the standard whip to be no longer than 6’ in length.

Please clarify if a fixture whip length and current installation method has changed.

ANSWER: In a group of 4 fixtures, on the same circuit, the Contractor may run EMT to the center of the group. Run MC down, from the EMT & box, to the 2nd fixture. From the 2nd fixture run MC back up, across to above the 1st fixture, then down to the 1st fixture.

Same process for fixtures 3 & 4. From the EMT & box, run MC down to 3rd fixture. From 3rd fixture run MC up, across to above the 4th fixture, then down to the 4th fixture.
