WALLA WALLA DISTRICT

DIGITAL DISPLAY CONTENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

1.0 Overview

The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, transportation, and management necessary to install a Digital Display Content Management System at the US Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District (NWW) Headquarters Building located at 201 North 3rd Avenue, Walla Walla, WA.

2.0 Background

The Walla Walla District Headquarters building is a three story office complex that operates and maintains multi-purpose infrastructure assets, and plans and executes engineering and water resource services across the Inland Northwest and the Nation to safely maximize public and environmental benefits. The Walla Walla District has a requirement to install a digital signage platform at their Headquarters building. The new digital signage solution will deliver communication media to displays located in various areas throughout the building.

3.0 Objective

The overall objective of the Digital Display Project is to provide employees and visitors with relevant media content channeled through audio/visual means at display points strategically placed throughout the Headquarters Building. This effort will particularly allow NWW the ability to remotely control and program the content for the displays.

4.0 Scope of Work

The Contractor shall install all necessary media equipment throughout the Headquarters building, coordinate all equipment, and ensure a fully operating digital display content management system.

The GFM is listed below in Section 7.

4.1 The Contractor shall deliver a content management solution that supports all media formats, including video that is scalable enough to allow for multiple digital displays (GFM) and content players/devices at various end points within the facility without performance issues.

4.2 The Contractor shall provide all software licenses and warranties to include upgrade support as specified in Section 5 (Requirements) of this document.

4.3 The Contractor shall ensure software and configuration is in alignment and adheres to the ACE-IT requirements for information security standards.

4.4 The Contractor shall provide the hardware to hang or attach displays and content devices.

4.5 The Contractor shall provide training and project management through their professional services organization.

5.3 The Contractor shall provide a high-level system content management design drawing and plan to demonstrate how GFM, software, and Contractor’s equipment will perform together.

5.4 The Contractor shall provide physical measurements and/or documentation required for electrical and structural work necessary to accomplish the project goals. Electrical work may include but not be limited to adding additional receptacles, conductors, conduit, and/or circuit breakers. Structural work may require core drilling in some locations.

Displays mounted on walls on the 2nd and 3rd floors require core drilling up to 16” of reinforced concrete with furred gypsum board finish and metal studs with gypsum board finish and fire stopping with a 2-hr. rating. The Contractor is responsible for fire stopping through penetrations and shall match the hourly rating of the fire barrier.

5.5 The Contractor shall complete any security documents needed for employees to gain site access.

5.6 The Contractor shall complete initial on-site plan and time schedule to comply with and work around any previously discussed customer requirements.

5.7 The Contractor shall provide electrical and data cabling and will layout and install all power and data cabling routed within the wall stud cavity and/or trim so as not to be exposed and physical equipment (outlined in the GFM and provided by the Contractor unless otherwise agreed upon( in accordance with current AVIXA and the highest AV industry standards.
