SUPPLEMENTARY REQUIREMENTS

PART 1 GENERAL

The work covered by this section of the specifications consists of work common to more than one section of these TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS.

1.1 SUBMITTALS

Government approval is required for submittals with a "G" designation;

submittals having an "I" designation are for information only. Designation following the "G" or "I" designation identifies the office that will review the submittal for the Government. Submit in accordance with SECTION

01 33 00 SUBMITTAL PROCEDURES:

SD-01 Preconstruction Submittals

1.2 PROJECT SCHEDULE

The Contractor shall furnish an electronic schedule using a spreadsheet or project management software program for the complete project within 15 days after receipt of receipt of Notice of Award. Provide two (2) sets of data CD's containing the project schedule in the original format the schedule was developed in (e.g. .xer, .xls, .mmp, etc.). Label each CD indicating the full contract number, Data Date and file name. Each schedule shall have a unique file name as determined by the Contractor. In addition to CD submittals, the Contractor shall e-mail a copy of the current schedule to the Contracing Officer's Representative. The schedule will include but not limited to:

a. A schedule of shop drawings and technical submittals required by the specifications and drawings. Indicate the specification or drawing reference requiring the submittal; the material, item, or process for which the submittal is required; the "SD" number and identifying title of the submittal; the Contractor's anticipated submission date and the approval need date.

b. A separate schedule of other submittals required under the contract but not listed in the specifications or drawings. Schedule will indicate the contract requirement reference; the type or title of the submittal; the Contractor's anticipated submission date and the approved need date (if approval is required).

d. Government will be provided an opportunity to witness Contractor's preliminary measurements for shop drawings. Provide notice to the Government no less than two (2) weeks in advance. Allow one (1) week for Government to witness measurements.

g. Government inspection for each set of bearings.

fh. Delivery. Government inspection must occur prior to delivery. Provide notice to the Government no less than two (2) weeks in advance. Allow one (1) week for inspections to occur.

1.3 CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITY FOR CONTRACT WORK

Responsible for correcting all damage and defects to work covered by this contract, until final acceptance by the Government.

1.4 PROJECT SECURITY

Contractor work on projects will only be for pick up and/or delivery of bearings. Access to the project is through locked gates. All vehicles that pass through the locked gates are subject to being searched.

1.4.1 Vehicle Access

Project access roads on both sides of the dams are secured with locked gates. All vehicles that pass through the locked gates will be subject to being searched. No privately owned vehicles (POV's) will be allowed through locked gates. Only Contractor's work vehicles and equipment that are essential to the conduct of the work will be allowed in the work areas. All Contractor vehicles shall display suitable permanent or temporary identification.

1.5 WORK SCHEDULES

1.5.1 Government's Work Schedule

The maintenance crews at the dam work from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Crews and staff do not work on weekends and Federal holidays. If a Federal holiday falls on a Friday, the crews and staff do not work on the preceeding Thursday.

1.6 DELIVERY OF NEW ITEMS

a. Coordinate delivery of new equipment a minimum of 2 weeks prior to proposed delivery date(s). Government will furnish personnel and equipment to unload all new equipment from Contractor vehicle(s). The Contractor remains responsible for verifying all clearances required for transportation of all equipment.

b. New equipment to deliver includes bearings as listed below, and all related items included for a complete product as specified.

Ice Harbor - Furnish Generator Guide Bearings (two sets)

Little Goose - Furnish Generator Guide Bearings (four set)

Lower Granite - Furnish Generator Guide Bearings (two sets)

Lower Monumental - Furnish Generator Guide Bearings (four sets)

McNary - Furnish Generators Thrust Bearings (one set)
