QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Q. On the E-101 drawing in keynote #4 it states that the 4” Conduit between the meter pedestal and Terminal box. Trenching or Directional Boring shall be utilized. See specification 33 71 02 for additional information. As there is no requirement for the conduit to be encased in concrete our preference is to use trenching with backfill of native soil and not directional boring. Please confirm if this method is acceptable.

A. As stated on the drawing and specs this method of trenching with backfill is permitted in lieu of boring. See the specification requirements for details.

Q. With the short turnaround of this information, I just wanted to see if there was any chance the bid date could extend a day or 2.

A. No time extension because we want to award by September 30th.
