POWER FEEDER REPLACEMENT, BEAR CREEK DAM, COLORADO

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Q. On the E-101 drawing in keynote #4 it states that the 4” Conduit between the meter pedestal and Terminal box. Trenching or Directional Boring shall be utilized. See specification 33 71 02 for additional information. As there is no requirement for the conduit to be encased in concrete our preference is to use trenching with backfill of native soil and not directional boring. Please confirm if this method is acceptable.

A. As stated on the drawing and specs this method of trenching with backfill is permitted in lieu of boring. See the specification requirements for details.

Q. With the short turnaround of this information, I just wanted to see if there was any chance the bid date could extend a day or 2.

A. No time extension because we want to award by September 30th.

Q. (10) Past performance information, when included as an evaluation factor, to include recent and relevant contracts for the same or similar items and other references (including contract numbers, points of contact with telephone numbers and other relevant information.

A. This is a low price solicitation and past performance information does not need to be submitted.

Q. Do you require a bid bond for the quote and if yes, at what percent?

A. No bid bond is required. A payment bond will be required after award.

Q. I believe the warranty period is a standard 1 year warranty.

A. The warranty period is one year per FAR Clause 52.246-21 Warranty of Construction.
